1. Mechanical Grinding and Peeling in the Peeling Chamber (Core Step)
The pre-treated broad beans are fed into the top cylindrical peeling chamber:
The chamber is equipped with a high-speed rotating blade disc, and the inner wall is fitted with material stop baffles; the blade disc continuously rotates, causing the broad beans to tumble, while the baffles prevent the beans from rotating synchronously with the blade disc, forcing the broad beans to make irregular tumbling movements.
The blades and the broad bean skin create relative friction, gently grinding and gradually scraping off the outer skin; the blades are optimized for gentle cutting force, only peeling off the outer skin and not easily scratching the inner kernel, achieving whole-kernel protection and controlling material loss;
The PLC control cabinet can flexibly adjust the blade disc speed and adjust the friction intensity for broad beans with different moisture levels, adapting to different batches of raw materials.
2. **Air Separation for Peel and Kernel Separation:** The equipment features an independent air separation duct, with a matching air compressor providing stable air pressure. The thin, light bean husks are drawn out by the airflow to the dust collection point. The denser, heavier broad bean kernels are not blown away, thus automatically separating the husks and kernels, eliminating the need for manual secondary sieving and simultaneously performing dust removal, resulting in a cleaner processing environment.
3. **Pneumatically Controlled Feeding:** The air compressor produces compressed air, and the solenoid valves in the electrical control cabinet receive signals from the PLC, controlling the opening and closing of the discharge baffle in the hopper at set times. After peeling to the required standard, the kernels are automatically discharged, falling into the receiving structure below. In case of material jamming or motor overload, the PLC control system can trigger a protective shutdown, improving operational stability.
4. Post-discharge cleaning: The finished product is discharged and collected from the outlet. All parts of the machine that come into contact with the food are made of 304 stainless steel. The peeling chamber can be easily disassembled and cleaned with water after operation. It is not easy to accumulate bean scraps and daily maintenance is simple.
