A Beginners' Guide to Disc Mill Machine for Corn
The disc mill pulverizer is a new type of fine grinder, which can grind the feed size of 6mm to 48μm (converted to 300 mesh) at one time. It can achieve the effect of one machine for two purposes.

A disc mill is a type of crusher that can be used to grind, cut, shear, shred, fiberize, pulverize, granulate, crack, rub, curl, fluff, twist, hull, blend, or refine. It works in a similar manner to the ancient Buhrstone mill in that the feedstock is fed between opposing discs or plates. The discs may be grooved, serrated, or spiked.

According to the crushing amount and crushing method of the crusher, there are various powers. Generally, the power of the small household or laboratory ranges from 350W to 2300W, and the power of the flow-type crusher is 2500W.  All of the above can crush corn, rice, wheat, sorghum, beans, spiced paprika, flour, herbs, peanuts, peanut, shells, feed granules, shrim crab shell, and grain feed, etc. We have long been committed to developing and manufacturing high Quality shredder. Companies in the food industry around the world use our products in their critical crushing and comminution processes. We have rich experience and our service has been well received by customers. We look forward to cooperating with you!

Product description of a disc mill pulverizer

The disc mill pulverizer is a new type of fine grinder, which can grind the feed size of 6mm to 48μm (converted to 300 mesh) at one time. It can achieve the effect of one machine for two purposes. The instrument is composed of two discs, one is a moving disc driven by a motor, and the other is a static disc. When working, the two discs generate pressure and friction through rotation to achieve pulverization of materials. The disc crusher can ensure the clean and crushed materials, effectively prevent other elements from mixing into the materials, without metal pollution, with simple structure and reliable work. It is the best choice for many enterprises.

The approximate working principle of a disc mill machine for corn

The more common corn shredders on the market can be divided into two types according to the model, hammer type and claw type, but no matter which type, the crushing process is basically divided into two steps.

Corn crusher commonly used crushing, crushing, grinding, shearing and other crushing methods, if it is a hammer crusher, that is, after the material enters the crusher, it is crushed into Small particles can also be repeatedly beaten into powder.

Some of the hammers of the hammer mill are symmetrical. When the sharp angle of the hammer is blunt, it can be used to adjust the angle on the reverse side; if both ends of the hammer are worn, it should be turned around and used. When adjusting the angle or turning the head, all the hammers should be carried out at the same time. After the four corners of the hammers are worn, they should be replaced.

If it is a claw crusher, it is constantly hitting the material through the high-speed rotating claws. Partially crushed small particles that meet the screen aperture standard will be discharged, and those that do not meet the aperture size need to be hit again before reaching the standard. Then, the material that meets the requirements can flow into the discharge port.

Among the crushing parts, the crushing claws and hammers are the vulnerable parts in the feed mill, and they are also the main components that affect the crushing quality and productivity. The crushing claws and hammers should be replaced in time after they are worn.

When replacing the claws, the disc should be pulled out first. Before pulling out, first open the round nut locking piece on the back of the disc, unscrew the round nut with a hook wrench, and then pull out the disc with a special puller. In order to ensure the balance of rotor operation, attention should be paid to complete set replacement when changing teeth, and a static balance test should be done after changing to make the pulverizer work stably. When assembling the claws, be sure to tighten the nut, and be careful not to miss the spring washer.

No matter what type of corn shredder it is, it is equipped with screens of different aperture sizes, so in the process of choosing a corn shredder, pay attention to selecting the appropriate screen aperture.

Is it better to crush corn with 80 mesh tooth disc or needle stick?

The proportion of flour powder pulverized by the toothed disc mill is large, and the proportion of flour particles pulverized by the hammer mill is large. The taste of the two kinds of flour is different, and they can be suitable for people with different tastes.

What should be paid attention to when the corn grain grinder is used for feed processing

The installation of all corn grain mills needs to be in accordance with the specifications. Similarly, no one is an exception. Before the installation of the machine, the corresponding preparations must be done. Start with the basic components, first check these components in turn, and then according to Instructions for specific installation.

It is necessary to formulate the best crushing process according to the site space. Usually, the crushing of the crushing production line mostly follows the industry standard of "U"-shaped arrangement. The purpose of this arrangement is to facilitate the maintenance of the machine and the repair of faults in the future.

If the space is insufficient, small and medium-sized packaging equipment such as ultrafine pulverizers can also stand on the corner of the wall, and it is also a good way to use the space of the corner to make a reasonable layout.

After the grain grinder is sold, there will be an instruction manual and a safety operation manual. After the technicians complete the training for the operator on the demand side, the future use process needs to be used and maintained strictly in accordance with the above two materials, so that the superfine grinder can be used and maintained. The service life is extended to the greatest extent.

First of all, the corn pulverizer should be fixed on the ground, which can be fixed with cement. If the working place is changed frequently, the pulverizer and motor should be installed on the frame made of angle steel. After installation, carefully check whether the installation is in place, and check whether the installation is not firm enough. Whether the motor shaft and the grinder shaft are parallel, and check whether the tightness of the transmission belt is appropriate.

Before starting the corn pulverizer, first turn the rotor by hand to check whether the operation is flexible and normal, whether there is any collision in the casing, whether the rotation direction of the rotor is correct, and whether the motor and the pulverizer are well lubricated. Do not change the pulley frequently to prevent the speed from being too high or too low. After starting, it should be idling for 2 to 3 minutes, and then feeding work after no abnormal phenomenon.

The feeding of the corn pulverizer should be uniform. If there is noise, excessive temperature of the bearing and the body, or material spraying outward, it should be stopped immediately for inspection and troubleshooting.

Before working, the staff should carefully check the materials to prevent metal, stones and other hard objects from entering the crushing chamber and causing accidents. When feeding, the staff should stand on the side of the corn mill to avoid being injured by the bounced debris. When crushing long stalks, do not hold your hands too tightly to prevent your hands from being brought in.

Stop feeding before shutting down, and then cut off the power to shut down after the material in the standby is removed. Cleaning and maintenance should be carried out after shutdown. After 300 hours of operation, the bearings must be cleaned and the oil should be replaced; when installing the oil, it is better to fill 1/3 of the bearing seat gap, and no more than 1/2. During prolonged shutdown, the drive belt should be removed

Methods to reduce wear on disc grinders

1. Excessive wear will lead to poor grinding effect and increase the use cost of disc grinding, so we try to reduce the wear of grinding balls in use.

Second, the problem of damage to the grinding chamber of the disc grinder is not to let the user reduce the number of times of use, but to pay attention to several factors in daily use, then the damage to the disc grinder can be avoided.

1. First of all, in terms of the size, ratio and loading capacity of the disc mill, the quality of the disc mill will change with the size. At a certain speed of the ball mill, the greater the quality of the grinding ball, the greater the impact. When configuring the size of the grinding balls, the collision probability between the grinding balls of the same size is higher, and the grinding balls are prone to fatigue wear, and the loading of the grinding balls will also affect the collision probability between the grinding balls.

2. The production efficiency of the disc grinder is low. The main factor affecting its production efficiency is that the rotation rate of the driving shaft is too low, which leads to relatively serious wear and tear caused by insufficient power. If the distance between the grinding discs is too small, it will affect the flow. If this happens, we should increase the distance as much as possible within the scope.

3. Then consider the properties of the material to be ground by the disc mill. The hardness, brittleness, shape and size of the material have an extremely important influence on the grinding process of the grinding chamber.
